And in the darkest of the dark night,
Lay a Ship out of sight
It floated along without a way,
Further and further away from the bay
As without a Captain the members fought,
To lead the Ship, the wheel they sought
In the silence of the night their quarrel was heard,
But then a Thunder stole their word
The rain poured down and rocked the Ship,
The engulfing waters gave it a whip
To safety ran away their Candle light,
Neither of them knew which way was right
After an eternal time the Storm left,
However, on the Ship, there had been a theft
A theft not of gold or precious stones,
But of the soul and the bones
In the darkest of the dark night,
Lay a member dying in their sight
Who did this and how they didn’t know,
For neither was the other’s foe
And as they asked the Candle for more light,
Another thunderstorm caused it’s flight
Again, when Silence took a say,
Dying, their other member lay
One by one the Thunder stole,
Each and every one’s soul
And without a Captain and no members who fought,
The Ship didn’t know what she sought
She floated along without a way,
Further and further away from the bay
The engulfing waters took her in soon,
That was the last she ever saw the Moon
All her life, aimlessly she had roam,
So when she settled down it felt like Home
And this was the greatest theft, not of the gold or the souls,
But of this Ship, and all her dreams and her goals.
